THE EVENT
The Fire Protection Association and Institution of Fire Engineers invite you to participate in our annual FIRE-NZ Conference and Exhibition to be held at the Christchurch Convention Centre on 3 & 4 November 2010.
FIRE-NZ is now recognised as the fire protection event of each year. We continue this year with the theme of “Sustainability – Heritage of the Future”. Sustainability in our built environment is now recognised as an integral part of a buildings design, construction and operation.
Fire protection systems have a large part to play in making our buildings not only safe but sustainable. Our children and grandchildren will suffer the consequences of the problems that we leave behind. This conference aims to examine these concepts. From academic papers to practical presentations of new products that can enhance our environment both now and into the future we aim to provide a broad forum where solutions can be explored. This will be the heritage we bequeath to future generations.

The promotion of fire protection systems in buildings is clearly recognised as effective life safety and is now becoming recognised for its role in preservation of not only life but also the protection of our valuable built environment.
The loss of a building can have far reaching effects on our lifestyle when buildings of major importance to our lives are lost, be it our business, sporting arena, entertainment or art centre.
This year FIRE–NZ 2010 will again be a collaborative event between the Fire Protection Association New Zealand and the Institution of Fire Engineers New Zealand Branch.
The Fire Protection Association of New Zealand and the Institution of Fire Engineers New Zealand Branch, invite you to participate as an exhibitor and/or sponsor in FIRE–NZ 2010 – to be held on 3rd and 4th November 2010 at the Christchurch Convention Centre in Christchurch.
PROMOTION
The Conference and Exhibition will be promoted throughout New Zealand by extensive distribution of the conference Registration Brochure, the FPANZ Website, through the IFE Website and direct mail to IFE and FPANZ members, and also promoted through IFE and FPANZ publications. Specific invitations will be sent to contractors, engineers, architects and territorial authorities. You are welcome to extend specific invitations or request FPANZ to do this on your behalf.

The Christchurch Convention Centre is located in the heart of Christchurch in Kilmore Street.
